From MTB racer to Royal Marine Commando and back again, “Deaks or The Deakinator” aka Ben Deakin was one of the first riders to embrace social media as his way of turning mountain biking into his full-time job.
Known for his fun-loving approach to riding his bike, as well as his catchphrase “Oi Oi” Deaks has spent the last 10 years travelling the world having a laugh on his bike with his mates.
Pre Social media star, Ben was a member of the Royal Marine Commandos having spent time in Afghanistan where he was shot when out on patrol.
